How The Emergent Community Works

Emergent refers contingent workforce orders to recruiters, sharing in profits, and offering a cost-effective, low-risk solution for clients. 

Emergent employs temporary and project-based workers found by recruiters and clients. When Emergent’s clients request recruiting support, Emergent refers these orders to select community members. Emergent refers orders to community members in the following two scenarios:

• When Emergent clients request new temporary or project-based workers from Emergent.
• When community members request sourcing support for their client’s contingent workforce orders.

In all cases, Emergent distributes contingent workforce orders to a limited group of community members who specialize in sourcing for the specific assignment skill-set and geographic location.

Once a worker has been matched to a position, Emergent employs them for the duration of their assignment. As an employer of the worker, Emergent handles employment obligations including the following:

• Background Screening
• W-2 Processing
• Federal and State Employer Tax Remittance
• Workers’ Compensation , Unemployment, and EPLI Insurance
• Human Resources Administration and Management
• Invoicing, Billing and Collections
• Providing Workers Access to Personal Health Benefits
